Terry cloth is looped cotton and the loops are what hold water, which is why a terry robe dries you rather than moving the water around. Waffle is the same idea in a lighter grid. Fleece and sherpa are knitted piles that trap warm air. Plush lined microfiber has the deepest pile of the five and is the warmest thing here.
